Jan Brueghel the Elder (1568-1625) was a Flemish painter who is often considered one of the most prominent artists of the Dutch Golden Age. His father, Pieter Brueghel the Elder, was also a famous artist and Jan followed in his footsteps. His paintings usually depict natural scenes and biblical motifs that are often filled with details.
