At Gallerix you will find a large selection of posters inspired by the award-winning visual artist Gustav Klimt. He painted in a symbolist style and was one of the central figures in the Art Nouveau movement. His motifs were decorative with patterns and ornaments that contrasted with figurative figures, often women.
Gustav Klimt was born on July 14, 1862 in Baumgarten, since 1892 part of the Penzing district of Vienna. Klimt was early influenced by symbolism and is one of the most famous representatives of the Art Nouveau in Vienna. In 1897 he co-founded the Wiener Sezession with the aim of raising the level of arts and crafts in Austria.
