The story behind Bauhaus

Bauhaus was a German school of arts and crafts, architecture and design that was active between the years 1919-1933. The Bauhaus has had a major influence on modern art and architecture and is considered a forerunner of functionalism. Bauhaus was founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919. The school was moved to Dessau in 1925 and in 1932 a new move was made to Berlin. Walter Gropius was the school's principal 1919-1928. Art and technology would blend into the ideal design.
